Normally, the end of the year sucks for sales reporting, due to the holiday rush driving up thresholds. This year, the reporting periods should break down as follows:

This kinda sucks for the 12/17~12/23 titles. First, the threshold will probably be close to 2k that week for BD. Second, ranking on DVD will be very hard. Third, the way the periods fall, getting a second week is probably going to be hard as well. The best hope is that 12/31~1/06 has very low thresholds and some of them make a third week, but only Darkness and Chuunibyou are likely to have any shot at that, unless Girls und Panzer continues ranking like it's been lately.

Of course what would be really bad is if Oricon did that thing where Christmas week and the next week are combined into one two-week list. I don't think they do that anymore though, because 2011 had separate rankings for 19-25, 26-01, and 02~08.
