As for rental copies, I wonder if they're included in the other distributors' "shipped" or "sold" numbers? I'd actually expect they are. |
This is TBS's quarterly report. The information we're looking for is on pg. 4 (underneath 映像・文化事業セグメン/video & cultural portion) which says:
アニメ事業では、「映画けいおん！」のBD/DVDを７月に発売、セル22万６千、レンタル４万５千、と驚異的なセールスを記録しました。(As for the anime side of business,
K-On! the Movie, released in July, has already recorded wonderful sales. It's sold 226,000 sale versions and 45,000 rental versions.)
I highly doubt that other companies include rental figures. They're listed as different copies by the distributor, so I really doubt they're included.
