Nope! They're (basically) pure guesses. But guesses tell us something about expectations, and expectations inform a lot about how people subsequently discuss shows. If Vividred is totally bombing from Day 1, we can expect a lot of surprise. If Senyuu. is bombing, nobody will bat an eye (except to make fun of Yamakan, anyway).
