Well, no matter who did it or 'okayed' it, it's still an edit made for the US release and it'll be on the list.
The old 'the original artist okayed it/did it him/herself' is just a convienent excuse for companies to dodge complaints. I've heard it too often and seen to many companies misrepresent who gave the consent, why they gave it, and what the US company told them to convince them to okay the censorship to give such claims much credibility.
In the end, the US release is edited and that is unacceptible to me.
If selling at 'big book retailers' means censorship, then the 'big book retailers' and the companies that bend over for them are no better than the book burners of old.
