About time. I don't plan on blind ordering this before I can see if it's any good, but if I do end up wanting it, here's hoping any LE is still available shortly after release. Should be...

Oh, I recently learned that the justification for this movie is that its actually a "dramatization" of Nanoha and Fate's past, produced on Midchilda, with their cooperation as technical advisers.

Much like what was retroactively done to Macross: Do You Remember Love?

Nanoha is a franchise I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt for a blind buy, even after the disaster known as StrikerS.

If this were coming out after 1st or A's it'd be an instant blind buy.

Since StrikerS sold more than both of them combined, I have to assume the movie is explicitly trying to appeal to the same people and therefore I should lower my expectations. It'll probably still be good, especially given who and when it focuses on, but it'll probably be like $100 and that's a bit more than my current level of faith in the franchise.

Shoushitsu is actually the only import blind buy I have (or, well, will when it's finally solicited) made of something that isn't out in some (easily accessible) form before the disc streets. ...Actually, I did go and order the Railgun OVA, which could seriously bite me in the ass I guess. But I have faith they'll know what to focus on and what to stay far away from. I'll be kicking myself really hard if I'm wrong though. Kinda hoping a simple plot synopsis of that comes out soon.

I actually enjoyed "StrikerS" more than the first "Nanoha" season.

But anyway, I would buy the movie if it includes an english sub.
I've already seen the movie and it's pretty decent. A friend of mine let me watch a clean copy (a test disc, I think), of it.

Forgot to mention, I used to think that the battle between Nanoha and Fate on the first tv season was one if not the greatest one-on-one fight between magical girls I have ever seen in anime. The movie version puts the tv version to shame, and then some.
