Notes:
- Dates before each unreleased FUNimation license indicate when they were officially announced.
- [Japan] R2 DVD / Blu-ray release dates are reference points; some licenses may have a grace period (after the last Japan home video release) before FUNimation can release them.

Index-tan 1 & 2, Railgun EX OVA and three Railgun specials.

I was curious about Sekirei-Pure Engagement.
Funimation has confirmed they do have season 2 but no info on release.
Season 1 did great so it was a no brainer they have it.
Any info is good.

Me too! I recently tracked down all of Tenchi Universe, Tokyo and the movies. All I need is the original Muyo release, but its so hard to find for a good price! (I also need GXP and RyoOhki 3 though to be fair). Such an influential and fan favorite series needs to be in print.

I actually meant the new R1 licenses from Geneon Universal Ent., but yeah, there's no doubt that certain series "need" to be available because of their importance and quality, and for new fans to discover. Personally, I think Serial Experiments Lain is the most prominent example among FUNi's unreleased license rescues.

I'm not an expert in licensing negotiations, nor do I pretend to be, but if I had to guess what the hold up is I would say its due to the fact that the titles(Hellsing Ultimate, Index, Shana 2) were all planned and went into production before Geneon got bought out by Universal.

I mean Lance even hinted at that back when he was on ANNcast last October.

Considering that Sentai didn't seem to have any issues getting the materials for High School of the Dead(and that's a Geneon-Universal title) I would assume this theory is correct.
