Heya folks, so we just had our panel and announced what we could, which is Usagi Driop DVD release in February and a new signing - Heaven's Memo Pad - coming out in 2012 with a dub (exact date still TBC)

Hope that makes some of you happy and for the rest, we plan on having a couple more announcements as soon a the ink dries (say, maybe two weeks). You will hear about them here first and I guarantee some of you will be very happy

With Usagi Drop being added by Siren Visual; here are the rest of their catalog that are not released in N. America (that may hold interest to some):

  • Dennou Coil
  • Genius Party
  • Genius Party Beyond
  • House of Five Leaves
  • Kaiba
  • The Tatami Galaxy
  • Welcome to Irabu's Office

Well if it doesn't get a US release, I'll definitely pick up Usagi Drop.

It's crazy. I would buy every single one of these titles in a heart beat, even if they were subbed only. Such awesome shows ;o; Sentai... please, though I'd prefer FUNi with a dub D:

I looked up a review of the Siren release of Dennou Coil and had to laugh at this:

Quote:
This title has been classified M for Animated Violence and Mature Themes
They do know that this was considered a family show in Japan, right? NHK aired it on Saturday evenings at 6:30 pm.

This show really deserves a Blu-ray release.

So? Shows where there are panty shots and young girls getting groped(whether accidental or not) are also considered family entertainment in Japan. Different culture, different standards.

Have you ever seen Dennou Coil? There absolutely none of what you're talking about in this show. Plus it was aired on NHK's educational channel on Saturday evenings, not late at night.

The notion that the show is violent is also pretty ridiculous. In the first half of the show the kids conduct virtual battles where no one gets hurt; the only damage they sustain is to their annual otoshidama gifts.

The closest thing to "mature themes" I can recall is Daichi's rather walking around in the nude at home, and Daichi checking for hairs.
No blood that I can recall, there's a violent death but it is in the past, and never shown, and modesty skirts are at 100% (except the one "innocent panties" moment with Kyouko).
