Default Amiami questions

Is is possible to combine two items that don't come out in the same month? I see they have a "combine by month" option, which is nice and all, but the Madoka figure comes out in November and nendroid Marika comes out in October. I can wait a month on the nendroid if I can get it shipped with Madoka, but I don't see that option.

Default Re: Amiami order combining question

In short, no.

There are two scenarios where you can combine items with Amiami:

1) All pre-orders come out the same month.
2) Order an in-stock item and combine it with a pre-order coming out the same month.

Hobbylink is the only place I know of that allows you to combine items from different months (up to 60 days) using their private warehouse feature (I think it's relatively new) - LINK

Meh, that sucks. I wonder how long it'll be in stock. It's #2 and #1 at Amiami and CDJapan respectively right now for figures, but since it doesn't come out for such a long time, ordering CDs fro CDJapan and adding this isn't an option due to the 60 day limit there.

Oh well, I'll think about it again later. Figures are such a pain to buy.

Default Registered Mail shipping time?

I ordered the Katou Marika nendroid from Amiami, and it shipped on October 30th. I used SAL Small Packet Registered.

It has yet to arrive. In fact, the tracking hasn't even indicated arrival in the United States yet. It left Tokyo on the 31st of October and hasn't been heard from since. Has anyone in this part of the world had SAL Small Packet Registered take this long or longer? The website says 2-5 weeks, and tomorrow is 4 weeks. My experience is that the upper end of any shipping range is extremely conservative, and it rarely takes that long.
I'm not super concerned about the nendroid because I'm insured up to ¥6000, but I also ordered the Ultimate Madoka figure, which is going to be impossible to find if something happens and I need to reorder. That's costing me about double the insurance limit. I probably should upgrade to EMS... even though that will cost far more.

GSC's Ultimate Madoka will probably be a huge box, so Amiami will most likely use EMS anyway.

Heh, i also ordered both the Marika Nendo and Ultimate Madoka, from a local dealer though. Marika should arrive next month, time to rewatch the complete season. :D

Geh, yeah I guess that seems rather likely. I probably would have ended up upgrading to EMS anyway since it's really the only other realistic option after SAL. Here's hoping they don't screw me the way CDJapan did by charging $80 to ship a figure.

Last year, I ordered the Hanasaku Iroha production books from Amiami and had them ship via normal SAL and it took a month for them to arrive. First/only time I had an SAL package take that long.

I've had that happen, but it ended up not even saying it was in the US until a couple of hours after it actually arrived at my house.

Yeah go figure, it arrived a few hours after my post. Or rather, delivery was attempted but hey post office, I work normal person hours, aka it is literally impossible to ever get to a post office when it is actually open. Scheduled redelivery on Saturday, so I have to wait another week almost. -_-

If they really go through with dropping Saturday delivery I quite simply have no idea how in the world they ever expect me to get a package again. Open 8:30a-5:00p? Worthless!

Does your office allow deliveries for personal packages?
