It appears that there was never a separate thread for this series.

IMO, Madman Ent. is waiting for an English dub from a North American distributor (and that someone has this licensed already or in the process of doing so). If they weren't waiting for the dub, they would have likely released the series subtitled already (like Gosick).

Q: Nichijou as well!!??
A: If another company doesn't pick it up and release it with a dub, then yes. Both shows were originally slated to be subtitled only anyway.

A: no we don't have a release date for this yet. We will know more in a few months time. If it looks like there will be no dub, then we will just release a subtitled DVD set as soon as possible.

- Madman, I've seen that you'll eventually release Nichijou on DVD. Is there any possibility of a Blu-Ray release as well? I'd love to watch the animation at the highest quality!

It looks like Collection 1 (eps 1 - 13) is getting released on March 20th. It's still not officially listed, since the actual product listing page isn't fully live. However it looks like you can still pre-order it from the top link.

Release date is still March 20, 2013. Collection 1 includes episodes 1 to 13. It's still subtitled only release.

Does anyone know the video quality of these releases?

I expect them to be less-than-stellar as DVDs, but is it acceptable for a DVD release?
