Should amend the title to indicate it is a BD release.

Seems it has JP subs only thou... shame. I enjoyed this movie a lot more than Millennium Actress.

I watch this movie every year. Would have been awesome to watch it next time on Blu-ray. I'm less likely to be a stand alone movie without subs.

Looks better than Perfect Blue did (from what I remember), but I guess they transferred it from a film source rather than the DI or whatever digital master was created before copying to film. And that windowboxing is really fucking embarrassing. Glad I held off on this until screenshots came in. I'll probably get it if it ever goes on sale, though.

Yeah, that windowbox is worse than Cowboy Bebop :/ Seriously, at this time and age... this is just plain laziness.

Kind of like Perfect Blue. Intentionally ugly. I don't know what's up with that huge black border though... And how can you call it "laziness?" It's not like it's something that can occur accidentally.

I would be curious to know how it can end up being "windowbox"...? Is there any reason for letting it like this...

I said laziness because judging from the windowbox, it's probably a master they've been sitting on for a long time. They didn't do a new transfer, I think the least they can do is trim the friggin windowbox and re-encode. They didn't even bother.
