Default Rurouni Kenshin going OOP

- Just Wondering... is Rurouni Kenshin going out of print?

- It has been out of print for some time now.
There had been on and off in-stock issues with the Economy Sets and Complete Collection for quite a while now (at least 2011). And now we have formal confirmation from Media Blasters.

On the TRSI front, they de-listed the complete collection release the other day. They still have Economy Set 1 and Economy Set 3 in-stock. Economy Set 2 is in-stock as well, but has a counter of 12 remaining.

I kind of figured that it went OOP. They even removed the title off of Crackle a few months ago.

It's the final good bye to this show.

That's too bad, i always wanted to see this anime. Any chance some other company will pick it up?

Viz isn't know for doing rescues. (I can't think of any off the top of my head) But if they're starved for Neon Alley content, I can see them picking up broadcast rights. Discotek possibly, but the show has been in circulation for a long time so I doubt there's currently a large demand.

You never watched it? This a good enough reason for someone to rescue it.

I wouldn't mind this getting rescued...not a big fan of the kind of shoddy boxes that MB put out of the series. I feel like every time I opened the first season case a disc was loose.

I figured that it would go OOP at some point, but I think it will be rescued by either Nozomi or Sentai. Considering how much Aniplex promoted the OVAs that I can see it happening.

It's time to graduate from here. But there's still some business left.
The only thing better than anime is sports. Get hit hard and you got JACKED UP! Or else it's a C'mon Man!

And now TRSI is clearing out the singles (not all have counters). The other two Economy sets are getting discontinued as well.

I'd wager Sentai picked up more than just the new OVAs and Rightstuf is cleaning house to make room.
