Well, Stax mentioned putting the list in the root post, and that sounds like a good idea. Please reply to this thread with anime title, type of song (op[#], ed[#], insert), artist, and song title if you find more anime songs on iTunes.
LIST OF SONGS BY ANIME:

I saw that Geneon was lising a lot of songs on iTunes. When I went ther, I could not find them. There were many shows that I have tripped over in the past in the way of anime TV & movies. I have now put in my complaint at now finding a solution to my anime searches on iTunes. Here is my complaint page.

So that's why I'm hoping for a third party list which helps keep up with this...

I agree with you but how can I find new anime songs if I do not know what to look for? How can I sample new songs if they are not listed? That is my bug and why I gave my little protest. The Geneon thing was what pushed me over the edge, they had the old Geneon radio show listed but not the music. There is such a thing as too organized.
I end my rant. I spoke my 2 cents to them anyways. |

Although I'm more of a CD person, I've currently found:
Hayao Miyazaki A MUSIC BOX HEALS YOU: Hayao Miyazaki (Greatest Hits?) Ishida Yoko Akano Seijaku (Shakugan no Shana ED2) Kageyama Hironobu CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA -2005 (Cover of the opening to Dragon Ball Z) Kawada Mami: Radiance (Starship Operators OP/ED) KOTOKO: Being (Shakugan no Shana OP) Chercher (MariMite ED) Gurasuno Kaze (Compilation) Hayate no Gotoku (Hayate no Gotoku OP) Kireina Senritsu (MariMite OP) Oboetete iiyo (Mahou Shoujo Tai Arusu) Real Oni Gocco (Real Oni Gocco) Re-sublimity (Kannaduki no Miko) Shichitenhakki☆Shijoshugi! (Hayate no Gotoku OP) 羽-Hane- (Not anime related) Kushida Akira: Kinnikuman Go Fight ! (Kinnikuman) Mell: Red Fraction (Black Lagoon OP) Virgin's High (Sky Girls OP) Proof (Hayate no Gotoku ED) Mosiac.wav (Doku-Denpa group that does mostly eroge but also did the opening to Kyouran Kazoku Nikki and Sumomo) Falsie the Pseudo-Science Girl Future-Fiction:AKIBA-POP!! Kimi Wa Nan Terabyte? Last Battler Akibattler μ Magical Hacker Kurukuru Risk Megane Dene! Space Akiba Pop (A bunch of eroge songs) Spam Mailing Girl We Love AKIBA-POP!! Re-vo & Haruka Shimotsuki Kirino Mukou ni Tsunagaru Sekai (Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm OP) Yoko Takahashi: Yoake Umarekuru Shoujo (Shakugan no Shana OP) Yuria Sono Mukou no Mukougawa OST (Game) Names are according to how iTunes lists them (as much as possible). All right. That's all I can find for now. I'm in the USA so no promises elsewhere. While the categories are rather poorly defined, iTunes does have one for anime, for the record.

Seems to me that this answer is to make this the thread that people can go to to find anime songs on US iTunes. When people contribute information, put it into the base post. I think that would be a huge help to US anime soundtrack and theme song fans.

Sounds like a bloody excellent idea. I'm going to sticky this thread too.

But to emphasize what I said in the top post - I might not be the best person to maintain this. I'll definitely keep it in mind to check this subforum more now, specifically for this thread, but if I forget a mod is going to need to edit in new entries for me. Alternately, as mentioned, someone more likely to remember to keep up with this might want to restart the thread again and take the root post for themselves so they can maintain it better. I'll try to keep on it for now though - well, assuming there's much more to add! Draneor might have found most of it already. ![]() Edit: Arranged by anime and added a couple OSTs I recognized as from anime but yeah, not too much there. I'll be buying a couple of the songs on the list (like Shana's and HnG's), once Apple finishes loading the DRM-free versions.

Two I missed before:
Hamasaki Ayumi Dearest (Inuyasha Ending) KOTOKO 421 (A Will) (Non-anime related) Uh, I also found some karaoke albums. Oh, and remix albums by Inoue Kikuko, Fukui Yukari, and Kawamura Maria. They have a lot of popular songs (like "Catch You Catch me"), but before I do the work, do we care? Search for "Best of Anime", "Anime Parade", and "Anime Toonz" to see what I'm talking about. None of these are the originals, so I'm not sure if it's worth the effort of including them.
