Forgot they had Kanokon.

Not that I'd buy it in singles anyway.

I'm pretty much done with singles. Genshiken 2 is the last show I plan to buy that way.

I can wait for a set for Kanokon. And now I may finally get Ah My Buddha.

This, right down to Genshiken 2 being officially my last singles purchase. I love MB for a lot of things, but they need to get with the program on this issue. Singles are over.

They wouldn't make nearly as much money if they did collections without previous single release, especially since they are including an english dub onto these series. Media Blasters knows what they are doing and its worked pretty well so far despite what the interwebs say.

*sees Tekkaman Blade Complete Collection* Yup, I should have known.

It's a good thing that I've held out on getting the mini-collections...

That said, I have to wonder what else MB will re-release, in their own special way...

They are just trying to get more value out of their product. Media Blasters don't have the same financial clout that Funimation do, and as such they need to release things differently. People may not like it, but for now Media Blasters have decided that the risk of season or part sets aren't worth the potential reward.

Perhaps, but there's also another thing to consider here too. Yes, they are still releasing singles. At the same time however they've also been taking those same series released as singles and making them into collections.

The point being that even if MB sticks with singles, so long as the current pattern holds up, people are still getting collections anyway. Thus it's just a matter of being patient.

Of course, the fun with that is they can be quite random as to how soon a collection is announced. They might announce it before the singles are even finished or announce it years later.

Granted, if one feels a series is worth getting in the form of singles then there's less need to wait. Unless of course problems come up during the release of the singles, but those would delay the collection as well...

Well, if singles where really over for them and they we're loosing money the would stop that.

I personally like singles more, if there is a artbox, since with MB we can't hope of collection with the same quality of Nozomi. The only problem with MB singles releases in my opinion is all the delays and change of plan. How many delays there was with Moribito? And the famous Genshiken artbox... Those problems make me wait to the end of the singles releases to buy the series. If there is an Prenium collection I'll buy that if there is not one, I'll be the singles.

Personally, I wouldn't buy it any form. Then again that's probably because the first episode convinced me to watch something else. The lead female essentially killed it for me.
