It's probably Toei. Remember a year ago, they had a poll on AnimeNewsNetwork as to what we wanted to see? I guess the whole deal was with IGN...

Which if true, this'll be interesting to see....

Does it have the same sfx/dubtitle subs as the DVDs? (Can't watch it, probably IP check.)

From what I can tell there are no SFX in the subtitles, also how can they be dubtitles if there is no dub? And it appears toei is the company releasing this, their modern logo appears before the show starts.

There was a dub back when it was released on DVD, and the subtitles they included on those DVDs were dubtitles (and horribly formatted ones with acting cues left in like (grunts) ). According to a post over on the R1 subforum http://www.animeondvd.com/aodvb/showthread.php?t=82569, the subs are new.

Well, that was fun. I've never seen Slam Dunk before and decided to give it a watch. Here's hoping they stream more of it.

Judging from the titles, I'm giving 2 to 1 odds that they used textsub to do the subtitles (gasp).
