Mike Kleinhenz

Hello everybody. This is my first time posting, and I'm afraid it is with some bad news. Mike Kleinhenz has suffered a heart attack and passed. I know that several of you have been loyal and outspoken fans of his and thought you should know.

Having worked with him on many of my ADV and advertising projects, I can say that he was not only a fabulous actor with an amazing voice, but he was also a very kind and caring man with a knack for calming the room. He was a hard worker and a gentle soul. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Please keep his family in your thoughts, hearts and prayers.

Thank you very much for letting us know. I, and I know many others here, enjoyed his work in various productions. This is very saddening news.

Oh, man. Kalinin's VA? I will miss that man very much. There have been many voices in ADV but his will be irreplaceable.

That is awful news. I knew his voice mainly from his roles in Kaleido Star and Princess Tutu, both which he fit so perfectly and were enjoyable to listen to. He will be missed.

I knew him as well for a scattering of roles over the years, more recently in Princess Tutu. Very unfortunate.

I was thinking about the many fine older dub actors around the industry and how we often do not give them enough credit compared to the younger mainstays of the medium. He was one of the good ones.

My condolences to friends, co-workers, and family.

Same here. I enjoyed his work on Full Metal Panic and Kaleido Star, and he was a truly talented actor and will certainly be missed.

His voice was ridiculously beast (how'd it go again? "The Voice of God"?)... this is a tragedy, to be honest.

But, you know, he probably lived well and his family and people close to him would most likely agree.

Well that's a shame. He had a very powerful and authoritative sounding voice and I enjoyed a lot of his performances. He will be sorely missed and condolences to his family.

This is very sad news. Mike was one of the classic voices of anime for me. He was ever-present and consistantly good. My thoughts immediatly turn to his friends and family, I wish them well at this sad time.

I wish your first post could have been made in much happier circumstances Kyle, but thank you for letting us know.
