In Summary:
Destined for Love is obviously playing things in a way where you know how it’s going to go. There’s the added bonus of Shin’ya having a friend at school named Shizuku who obviously likes him a lot and then the “twist” of Akane arriving at the school to become a new transfer student that’s wearing an engagement ring. With another episode still ahead, there’s plenty of predictable palces for it to go. This opening episode is fairly fun though but it has some hurdles to get over with the somewhat choppy animation in terms of movement and the rather basic character designs. It’s not bad, I’ve certainly seen far, far worse (Pure Love anyone?), but it does have an impact on the flow of the show at first until you get used to it. I do like shows like this because of it being all consensual and actually involving emotions, but I wish it was given a bit more of a budget so they could have made it look smoother.
