not if the us version sucks ass... which i think could happen.

blood last vampire bd release has forced subs...

gits had lossy audio for jp.

there is no guarantee that the oversea version will use the exact same encode/master.

if they (the jp companies) forced manga to release blood with forced subs?... anything is possible.

It's a BV release. It will in all likelyhood be the exact same disc as the Jp version, like Akira and Freedom.

You are comparing apples and oranges.

Or, more accurately, Bandai and Manga.

I'm guessing like the others that the exact same disc is being released everywhere.

Or an apple to an overripe banana?

BV is pretty good about keeping the versions the same. Just don't expect to pay US prices.

Now if they did it with VOTOMS, I'd be in heaven right now.

A listing for the BD and DVD are up at CDJapan --
Blu-Ray
DVD

Only about $10 more for the BD, not bad. I would assume the U.S. prices will look somewhat similar since its going to likely be through the Honnemiese label and not Bandai Ent's.

Honnemiese stuff was slightly less than the Japanese (at least by the end) so I think $35-39 is reasonably likely.
Comparing some things, Japanese releases at 7800 yen retailed here for $49.

Of course, Honnemiese might not be in use any more. They could have used it for the Escaflowne movie, but just labeled it Bandai instead.

Honneamise is done, everything from now on is being released in North America via Bandai Entertainment.

Not so. The Escaflowne movie Blu-ray that was just released in North America has the Honneamise intro logo.

This certainly is quite a contrast with the recent Kurokami Blu-ray handling. Odd how the same company can do something in such a "right" away and "wrong" way at the same time.
