Ichiroh! Volume 2

Yes, the discussion for the second volume of Ichiroh! is here. In this volume, we have more fun with the primary cast, the already introduced secondary cast, and new people as well.

Well, at least one new person by the name of Mayura, who looks like she could be fun. Mean while Shino continues to be awesome. Akane continues to be love. Nanako continues having to deal with everything.

All, right let's start the spoiler sub thread in a minute.

Nanako spends time as a maid for awhile. I like how she ultimately goes it over the other choice because it's cheaper.

We get the story of how Nanako and Akane met. Nanako is the cause of Akane liking games.

Akane is good at getting her hair together real fast.

I like it when Akane wears a shirt that makes her chest easier to study.

So Akane and Nanako have been together since elementary school. This gives Akane the advantage over Shino who has only known Nanako since high school.

Mayura is fun.

Mai's alternative name is Mia. Err yeah....

So now Nanako needs glasses or rather, she's going to be wearing contacts.

That's a pretty expensive scheme to get money for the shrine.

You know, I spent time thinking about what it would be like if Akane and Nanako got married officially and I concluded that I like that idea. Although maybe Akane can share Nanako with Shino. Then again, I think Shino would run off the first chance she got.

I thought that whilst volume 2 was good and the characters are still fun it didn't really have much in the way of plot with the same general concepts just coming again and again, (money, video games, working at the shrine, video games, perverted teacher, video games etc ...)

The maid cafe plot was fun though

I'll be looking forward to the next volume ...

I thought the maid cafe bit was a riot. Poor, poor Mai/Mia pushes all my moe buttons, unfortunately for her.

And she has the temerity to complain when innocent Akane wants to spend a few weeks zoning out. Damn that Nanako...

Mayura is fun.

I wasn't sure about adding another character (since Wakaba already gets almost no time) but I like Mayura. Just the right mixture of sexy college girl and tormentor.

For a while, this volume did come off like it was on cruise control. More of the same jokes and Shino weirdness, but by the end it tried some slightly different stuff. It make me laugh, so that's enough.

Yeah, Nanako needs to realize how important games are. Nanako should find a way to make it up to Akane. Hey, whatever you read into that is your own fault.
