we still dont have an official US release details yet do we?

It could be released internationally as well and they could strip the jp audio from the international version?

the us release of escaflowne has all the extra content that isnt english based removed... i am guessing that is being reserved for the jp release? it's not like i am a gundum fan so this release doesnt hold much interest for me... but given the recent info on kurokami... anything goes it seems.

I don't think Unicorn will get a cheap US release until they can release a collection or at least several episodes on one disc. Like I said before, I'm betting the US Blu-ray will be an online exclusive with the exact same content as the Japanese release, priced a bit cheaper but not so cheap as to make reverse importation a huge concern.

Then in a few years, they'll release cheaper versions on DVD and BD in the US with a higher episode content.

Sounds like the Japanese Playstation Store gets the first volume for download/rental on February 20th alongside the early theatrical premiere in Tokyo.

I'm giving up on Bandai Entertainment for a NA release on this one. I'll snag the first volume while on vacation in Tokyo this April and give Amazon JP the rest of my monies for the subsequent volumes.
