Episode 61:

- New OP. I probably shouldn't even watch it given the history of blatant spoilers. ::stops watching after that delicious Lucy cleavage shot at the start::
- Fighting and stuff.
- God I love Lucy's outfit.
- Hot Eye vs Midnight? Interesting. And, uh, Hot Eye's name is Richard. >_>

- Haha, Cobra is a dragon slayer too. Boy, dragons sure aren't rare in this world, are they? Also, I totally bet the OP would have spoiled this if I'd watched it. So when do we find out hat Lucy is a dragon slayer?
- Natsu uses his best ability against Cobra: not thinking!
- Hey guys, I think Cobra can hear Natsu's movements. What do you think? I did extensive research to come to this shocking conclusion.
- Ah, Cobra is one of them artificial dragon slayers like Laxus.

I don't care about this fight anymore. The party had a perfect counter and the show didn't use it.

It's very strange how stubborn this show is about doing anything even the absolute slightest bit significant with Wendy. I can't even put down to the standard anti-female bias in shounen jump style shows, because Fairy Tail bucks that trend. It uses a female as its narrative protagonist and the strongest member of the core team is still a female. That team was split 2-2 initially, and by the end of this arc it could be 4-2 in favor of females. Though Juvia seems to be falling by the wayside and I don't know if Wendy will stick around long term.

So I don't get it. I guess they're still saving her for later, but come on guys. When is later?

Episode 62:

- Oh. Hey. Cobra isn't beaten yet. That kind of took me off guard, heh. But it shouldn't have... the old "defeated enemy gets up one more time just to set up some other development" thing is pretty standard. Here it's just to set up Brain.
- Haha oh wow that was... weak. They spend about 15 seconds throwing an "Awww, Cobra is just misunderstood" scene at us. Why bother?

- Uhhh wut. Midnight has already lost to Hot Eye? I mean, RICHARD. Well, I'm guessing there's more to it than this. They've really played him up as the strongest of the six, so he can't just lost off screen.
- Well, I guess he really did get his ass kicked. For now anyway.

- Hahha oh wow. Jura is pissed. Speaking of pissed, I think Gray just pissed himself.
- And Jura completely demolishes Brain. Holy crap. So the only one left is Midnight, who got his ass handed to him by Hot Eye.
- Wendy... yeah. Ready to do stuff now? At least heal Happy.

- Oh, they're doing that "my prayer" thing for everyone. I guess I vaguely remember Racer's. And Midnight was just messing with Hot Eye all this time? Okay so he's still the final boss.
- !!! Wendy did something! She ended the really annoying transportation joke! That's hands down her best contribution so far, because man that was really old at this point. I'm guessing it's only temporary though. ;_;


...And wait a second, where the hell has Erza been?

BLah blah, the fight was good, but was getting old. Why was Wendy not fighting the poison guy? Doesn't she have UBER HEALING HAX?

Every one of them has a scene of them in the tower as kids during their "My prayer" speech right after they are defeated.

Episode 63:

- Oh hey, Erza and Jellal. Remember them? I guess they've been having a picnic all this time.

- Well, I'm glad they don't know what a nabula is either. And the chief's "drinking problem" is getting really old already.
- So the people of Caitshelter have done something terrible in the past but so far it's left unexplained.

- Wendy is gonna... go something! Conveniently for her, by running off to do something somewhere for some reason, she manages to avoid Brain's final trap.
- Oh and Jellal is gonna fight Midnight.

- Wendy knows people by scent.. and this Jellal smells a bit different. Drrr, because your Jellal is obviously Mystogan.
- ...Wendy is so damn cute. Just had to get that in there.

- Uh so much for Jellal fighting Midnight. Can we get another awesome Erza fight now, please?
- So Midnight has one of "those" powers. The "I can do anything and everything with it" powers.

- The final boss is... Brain's staff? o_O
- And now we get a Happy-sensei segment.
- The staff winked. And it has a grudge against Caitshelter. So who did they piss off?

- Man, Midnight is really obsessed with killing Erza with her own clothes. There's one totally obvious solution to this: fight naked, Erza!
- Wtf Midnight. You're being so evil you just knocked my power out for an hour and a half. I mean like, literally after he dinished saying "You'd be perfect for the new six generals." or whatever with that evil smile, BAM, power off. Bitch. ::gets back to watching::
- Yay Erza. MORE SEXY OUTFITS!

Damn her super hotness. They better let her fight it all the way out with Midnight - but the odds are virtually zero. This is clearly going to be Jellal's redemption and/or sacrifice moment.

Episode 64:

- Seriously, those purple thighhighs... it's been a purple thighhigh festival tonight what with this and Kaya in Bakuman.
- BAM, Erza lands a hit. She's discovered two weaknesses in hit attack. So the natural thing to do is to explain it to him so he can counter it! >_>
- Weakness 1! I can still punch your stupid face in. Weakness 2! Can't both attack and defend at the same time. I still think Erza should just fight naked. It's just so so so obvious a solution.
- OH GOD YOU ARE SO HOT ERZA. Especially when giving monumentally smug smirks to your enemies.

- But now it's midnight, which means... Midnight turns into some really silly looking monster! Er okay!
- Oh and Midnight just ate Jellal.
- Now Midnight brings up the Tower and the usual guilt-tripping of Erza returns.
- Heh. "For the people who lost their lives..." ::cut to figures of the only two people who have died in connection with that whole event:: Same thing earlier when Midnight was talking about how many Jellal has killed. All we see is Simon. He's the only character who we have actually seen die in the present day, isn't he? Plus a small handful in flashbacks.
- ...Oh wow. That wrapped up all at once. But that's fine because that means Erza won the fight all by herself. Yay! <3 <3 Erza.

- Meanwhile, a silly fight with a staff continues.
- A very silly fight with silly developments. I guess Brain was defeated a bit too easily but the pacing of baddies and power-ups in this arc is getting wacky. Not that I'm not still having fun, but still.
- So yeah, Brain's real inner personality, Zero, is now awakened with the six generals defeated.
- And that means we now have a guildmaster fight. So far, the only guild master I remember them fighting is Jose, and it took Makarov's plot hax to beat him.

- Gray and Natsu go down like chumps. Don't be scared Lucy! You can beat him!
- Yeah not so much. So who, then? I guess this will be Jellal time?
- Oh what's that you say? Wendy is still around? ...I'm not getting my hopes up.

Whelp, Nirvana is about to fire.
