I agree with the move. At this point, it makes a lot more sense to have BD solicitations in the R2 forum.

Well, I support this. Simply because, if I want to look for a series to import from Japan or a series to buy from the US, I would prefer both of them to be separate, simpler to find what I'm looking for. And yeah, both market are really different...

I was wondering who did that and cleaned up some of the spam posts. Good job! So, at this point, is it only you that's a mod?

Only if the majority of R1 posters requested it. Don't want to change too much unless desired.

Yea, that's why I edited my post...I also forgot that the R1 forum has a lot more news items.

FWIW, having all of the BD content in one place has been convenient for me. I rarely am all that interested in DVD releases anymore, so the status quo has served me well.

R1 releases don't have to change, just imports. And for the JP industry, it's not DVD vs BD, it's just "Japanese release" since they're nearly all both BD and DVD anyway.

BDs were only ever separated in the first place because they were "new" and "different" back then, and more to the point kind of rare. Now they're the standard. We never put JP DVD releases in with R1 DVD releases in the pre-BD era, after all.

Also worth noting that Fandom Post no longer separates BD releases out from the region they are released in.

You've made this point of view very clear to the point I imagine it's getting exhausting on your part. All I wanted to add was that for at least this member, a distinction between releases in terms of region coding is irrelevant. It's just not a barrier for me, so being able to take a look at the entirety of BD releases has been helpful.
