Really Bandai, again with this crap? Did their disc printer break or something in the earthquake? -_-

Way to skew sales again.
CDJapan has it in stock it seems, maybe it's just actually out of stock or something.

Though I wouldn't put it past Bandai to OOP it again.

Wow...this is sure a long wait at the more critical times for sales...

Speaking of Horizon, I find it interesting that it outsold T&B 8 everyday on Oricon's daily trackings except for the first...given, the first day is where half of the sales come from, but it could point to Horizon selling even more than 15k.

Default More preliminary yearly list

At least I assume it's still preliminary. Have got an eye out for the usual big lists posted on livedoor, but haven't seen them yet.

MAL posted a little more of the list, including a small update for Vol. 6 of Madoka that puts the series average over 71k.

Madoka v6 +480 BDs, total 67,122, final average 71,006. Just barely made it!

Tiger&Bunny v2 +3399 BDs, total 33,945.
v3 +1326 BDs, total 31,785.
v4 +1766 BDs, total 30,276.
- The T&B gains are huge, especially Vol. 2. Overall average now stands at 28,498.

AnoHana v2 +553 BDs, total 32,607. Average increases to 31,283.

And it still hasn't aired on Tokyo MX yet. After that, BD 1 might hit number 1. Too bad we won't see the effect of this with vol 1 until the week of January 23rd. >.>

Default Idolmaster game sales (total?)

http://yaraon.blog109.fc2.com/blog-entry-6193.html

After 8 weeks, PS3 Idolmaster 2 had done 97,046 and since weeks 4-8 were all pretty consistent and there's no reason to think it wold have slowed down considerably with the holidays coming, it should be over 100k easily now. I guess this is as far as reporting will go, though.

So, a japanese blog has quoted vgchartz for numbers on the current sales of Idolm@ster 2? I'm only questioning it because there are people who do not believe in the number vgchartz quotes nowadays - but, sometimes they are the only source for numbers since Media Create only gives out top 20 and NPD numbers (for US games) are nearly impossible to obtain for a normal person.

I don't know if they're still trusted nowadays since I normally just look at the weekly Media Create charts now.

Default Re: K-ON! Movie 4th weekend

The K-ON! movie has easily surpassed the ¥1bn mark now, total is ¥1,139,230,000!

Here's some comparisons posted for other big movies (in units of 100m yen):

Evangelion 1.0 (Total 20)
*2.80→*7.25→10.35→12.95→14.75→16.05→16.95→17.45

Summer Wars (Total 17)
*3.70→*6.90→*9.30→11.10→12.6→13.6→14.3→15.2

FMA Shamballa (Total 13)
*2.25→*5.04→*7.23→*9.17→10.90

K-ON!
*3.19→*6.91→*9.43→11.39

Surprising how it's overtaken Summer Wars at an equivalent point, although I don't expect K-ON! to hit quite ¥1.7bn, let alone Eva's ¥2.0bn. Damnit I want to watch this movie.

If K-ON! beats Evangelion 1.0 of all things I'm going to be genuinely surprised. Not because "durr hurr it's K-ON! etc etc" it's more of the fact I've never really seen anything really dominate Evangelion.

That said it's not 2.0, I forget what 2.0's numbers were but from what I remember they were bigger than 1.0's. Hell, beating Evangelion is a feat in itself and if K-ON! beats it then fantastic.

¥2bn for Eva 1, ¥4bn for Eva 2. Well, K-ON! is already the most successful anime based movie on a late-night TV series ever, I'm pretty damn sure. Excepting Eva, but that ran prime-time anyway if I remember correctly.
