This is awesome!! We even have an increase for wk1 over v1! I sure hope that we will have an 10k average at the end! And yes, I want a second season!

I think that 4% increase could of been because of the added nipples and nudity scenes. Maybe.

That makes sense. I had ruled out the idea of there being something like that since BDs didn't really go up much, but if the BDs are supply constrained in any way that could explain it. I guess we'll know for sure if it has a big second week.

Funny how Staker overestimated Steins;Gate sales by 7000 points (a total of 22,000 pt for volume 9) but got Horizon v3's sales almost correctly (19,000 pt as of today). This shows how staying a couple of days as number 1 can greatly inflate sales, compared to a show that ranked consistently in the 20th~30th spot. This is also why I believe Ano Natsu's first volume won't sell as much as its preorder points show, since it hasn't returned to the top 100 after being ranked 3rd (if i recall correctly) for a couple of days.

Every volume of Steins;Gate has been wildly overestimated for some reason. A period of ranking high is part of it, but I have a feeling it might just sell disproportionately more to Amazon than at other retailers, which is another potential cause for poor estimates.

Yes, very possible. It's true that it's barely seen the top 100 since the start.

On the other hand it's spent the entirety of that time almost never dropping below 200th, so it's not had a total collapse at any point either. And a little over a week ago, it finally snapped its unbroken decline, rose, and stabilized.

I think it all comes down to the final episodes. Episode 11 of 12 airs three days before it goes on sale. Episode 12 airs before the first week reporting period ends. If the final stretch really gets people passionate, then a nice bump coupled with its consistently 200-or-better placing thus far could result in a Haganai-like come-from-behind 10k.

I seem to recall Steins;Gate being solicited before it even aired, I could be very wrong but would that be a reason as to why it was overestimated?

edit: Actually now that I think about it I don't think that makes much sense as it would track that.

I'm one of those who picked up vols 1 & 2 together this month. In my case it was just that I forced myself to wait for a spare slot to open up due to shows ending last month. There have just been too many good shows I want to get lately.

Default Idolmaster G4U Vol. 5 sales

http://yaraon.blog109.fc2.com/blog-entry-7733.html

17,038 this time.

Same as before, an increase in standalone sales (+2k) offset by a decrease in G4U sales (-1.1k). But this time the standalone increase was bigger than the G4U decrease so it's still a bigger first week and only partially offset.

First week, sales, standalone and G4U combined:

Vol. 3: 25,438
Vol. 4: 25,239
Vol. 5: 26,092

Up 3.4% on v4 wk1.

As long as the G4U bundles continue to sell at least 10K+ for the remainder, we should see them rank with sales numbers on the media create charts (if not, possibly Dengeki's game charts might be another option, but I doubt that) unless a volume comes out during a week where 20 games do better than it.

They include sales from all the other world-lines besides the one we are in
