Here's hoping next week's list has Milky Holmes putting up numbers >= season 1.

Milky 2 is going to do a lot less. Probably dropping by half like Ikamusume. It's only at 2,198 for BDs and 657 for DVDs. Season 1 first volume did 6,959 first week and 7,646 total.

I'm really wondering how much InuBoku is going to sell. They did a great job at catering both the male and female audience, so I'd say it'd to pretty well.

The first volume is discounted, so we won't have an idea of how the rest will do until volumes 2+ come out. But the first has racked up quite an impressive score... it wasn't doing much of anything initially, and now in its release week it's up to:

Blu-ray:4185pt
DVD:4092pt

..as far as Stalker estimates go. Here's the latest daily rankings for Oricon: http://jbbs.livedoor.jp/bbs/read.cgi...332561675/1486

Ordering is as of the 23rd so obviously things that first came out on the 22nd or 23rd have an edge there. Comparatively speaking... Inu x Boku has been fairly consistently ahead of Persona and AoEx in DVDs the whole week, except the 20th when it was well behind Persona. Persona did 5,896 DVDs for the previous volume, so the 20th (day before official release) is probably the most important one, because I can't see Inu x Boku doing 5k or more DVDs (though it's perhaps possible). AoEx has been doing about 4-4.5k DVDs lately and InuBoku was always ahead of it, so I figure it should get at least 4k DVDs, in line with the Stalker estimates.

On the BD front it's harder to tell. It was 13th on the 19th (before street date), right ahead of A Channel, Natsume and Working. But on the 20th it was way behind Working, HS DxD, and Natsume. So I have no idea really. I'll just assume the 4k stalker estimate was accurate there too.

So I can see an 8k opening week for InuBoku, which could mean upwards of 10k lifetime. So even if we see a modest dropoff from discounted Vol. 1 to normal-priced Vol. 2, it could easily average over 5k. That would be nice.

Some other v1s:
- AnoNatsu seems to be doing pretty well but there's not a lot of measure it against.
- Lagrange doesn't look too promising. Below the Onegai Twins box on opening day and I only expect about 3k first week from that one.
- High School DxD is going to sell well. Not sure why it didn't rank at all on the 22nd.
- Milky looks like it's basically bombing.
- Brave 10 looks like a sales dud too.

I'll be curious to see, when closer to release, how even BD and DVD sales are going to be for vol. 2 of Inu x Boku SS.

Finally found my bookmark for Amazon stalker and decided to check out the rankings after watching the last episode (still contemplating if I want to import the show at some point or wait for Funi's release). For some reason, I was surprised at the rankings. Vol. 2 BD is roughly at the same pace as vol. 1 a month before release, but no major spikes in points since the finale though (same goes with the rest of the volumes).

Seriously... Mouretsu v1 is still in the top 100. It's been three weeks since it was released and it's still there. Just how skewed towards sales on Amazon is this show? It's like it isn't even being sold anywhere else.

Hopefully we get a nice monthly update, because it might not rank this week. The last monthly period covered the week of 2/06 to the week of 02/27. So the next one covers the week of 3/05 to probably 3/26, which means we could get up to 4 weeks worth of Mouretsu sales if it can make the monthly threshold.

Holy shit InuBoku. Totally smashed AnoNatsu (which did rather disappointingly) and HS DxD.
Massive BD threshold, more Thursday, hopefully a lot more.
And huh, no third week for Fate. Likely just missed. It'll probably rank next week to fill in the gap.

Winter update:
InuBoku v1 sells 5917/5709 for 11,619. Wow. That's phenomenal, even for a discounted first volume. This could easily be an 8k series overall.

HS DxD v1 does 6780/2341 for 9,121. Better than I expected.

AnoNatsu v1 sells 6,128 BDs, DVDs do not rank. Greatly underperformed Stalker's guess. Definitely my second biggest sales disappointment of the season after Mouretsu. Here's hoping for strong week 2-3 sales and consistency from v2 onward.

Brave10 v1 gets 1435/2999 for 4,434. Bit better than expected on BD.

Rinne sells a rather disappointing 3,089 BDs, DVDs do not rank. That's a shame. Thank goodness it was already planned split cour. [Update: about 400 DVDs, total 3,489]

Milky Holmes 2 v1 sells 2,353 BDs, DVDs do not rank. That's a good bit lower than the first week for any of the season 1 BDs. Guess it overstayed its welcome. [Update: about 750 DVDs, total 3,103]

Natsume Shi v2 gets 4637/3323 for 7,960. Coupled with a first volume barely hitting 10k after 2 weeks of ranking in both formats and it looks like this season will finally dip the franchise below 10k. Aww... I was hoping it could keep it up 4 seasons in a row. I wonder why this season finally dropped, even if only a bit.

Zero no Tsukaima F v2 sells 1,525 BDs, DVDs do not rank. Guess I can add something for it to the chart now. [Update: about 640 DVDs, total 2,165]

Fall update:
Persona 4 v5 sells 17921/5570 for 23,491. Down 5% from v4 wk1.

Horizon v4 sees a dip from its two previous 18k+ wk1 performances. 16,696, down 9.6% from v3 wk1.

Haganai v3 sells 7441/2077 for 9,518, 8% drop on v2 wk1. Figure 10k next week, and it's still managing to hang on to a possible 10k final average. 11,186 average right now with one week of v3 sales to go by. Monthly adjustments should buff that a bit. It'll be close.

Working'!! v6 takes a hit, down to 6744/2193 for 8,937. 22% drop, from v5 wk1, but v5 had an event ticket. Still, it's a drop from v4 too, which did 10,047. With only one disc left it'll easily keep over 12k though. Even without the 20k v1 it's over 11k. Season three where?

Guilty Crown v3 is at 1811/5883 for 7,694 first week, though only a 4% drop on v2 wk1.

Ikamusume!? v4 sells 3,199 BDs, DVDs do not rank.

Last Exile Fam v3 sells 2,620 BDs, DVDs do not rank.

Mashiro-iro v3 does 1,927 BDs, DVDs do not rank. Whelp. Those sure are visual novel anime sales numbers. [Update: about 760 DVDs, total 2,687]

Chihayafuru v4 gets 1,914 BDs, DVDs do not rank. Slightly higher than v3 which was slightly higher than v2, and we don't have v1 numbers. But only slightly. [Update: about 670 DVDs, total 2,584]

Ben-To v4 sells 1,753 BDs, DVDs do not rank.

Gundam AGE v2 sells 1,655 BDs, DVDs do not rank.

UN-GO v3 sells 1,318 BDs, DVDs do not rank.

Kimi to Boku v4 is down to 920 DVDs, BDs do not rank.

Past seasons:
AoEx v10, final volume, does 3257/4169 for 7,426. Final average is currently 12,341.

Hanasaku v9, final volume, does 6,817 BDs, DVDs do no rank. Up 10.7% on v8 wk1 BD. Average is currently 8,516. [Update: about 475 DVDs, total 7,292, average 8,513]

OVAs, Movies, Boxsets etc:
Gundam SEED BD Box v1 sells 9,535. Considering this will be four boxes and it's four cour, it will probably become the #2 or #3 overall BD box seller when all four parts are out. Possibly #1, since its cumulative MSRP will be so much higher than Haruhi's (¥84000). Average sales will be less than half of Haruhi or Bake's of course, but this is the only 4 cour series to get good BD box sales so it does kind of skew the ¥ rankings. I wonder if Seed Destiny will still outsell Seed? Going to be a long time before we know though. Season one won't be done until September.

17) ¥*207.4m (*6,172 * ¥33,600) - s-CRY-ed
18) ¥*200.2m (*9,535 * ¥21,000) - Kidou Senshi Gundam SEED (4 parts: 9,535 + 3 unreleased)
19) ¥*200.1m (*3,197 * ¥62,580) - Kanon

Strike Witches 2 BD Box does quite well considering the series was already released on BD. It debuts at #21 and should pass 2nd GIG next week.

20) ¥*178.9m (*8,520 * ¥21,000) - Koukaku Kidoutai S.A.C. 2nd GIG (2 parts: 4,321 + 4,199)
21) ¥*172.7m (*4,699 * ¥36,750) - Strike Witches 2
22) ¥*149.3m (*5,689 * ¥26,250) - Kamichu!

Onegai Twins BD Box sells 3,292 which is ever so slightly (16 units) more than Teacher's first week. Should join the ¥100m club next week.

Higashi no Eden BD Box sells 2,973.

A-Channel +smile OVA starts at 3818/1135 for 4,953. Right in line with the later TV series volumes.

Next week, v1s for Symphogear and Another. The week after, Danshi Koukousei and Amagami SS+.

Yeah, and it showed mostly uncensored on AT-X so it's not like there was a big "Buy the DVD/BD to see boobs" factor. Looks like there's a good chance for a 2nd season

Well, it seems that InuBoku is the surprise of the season. Haven't picked it up since I had 5 shows remaining from Fall + 10 other shows from this season. Gonna give it a try when less busy days arrive.

Dissapointed by Rinne, I thought it would be better, although I rage a little inside when the anime skips the action scenes and goes full SoL.

My dream of 20k Horizon is starting to shatter with this 18k -> 16,5k drop ;_;

By the way, does anyone know why volumes 5 and 6 of Tiger and Bunny charted in the top 100 this week despite having going on sale like 5 months ago?
