Damn...this is bad news for me, since for Viz, Canada doesn't even exist... And the fact that Viz is my least favorite company... It was one of my most anticipated show.

VIZ Media, LLC, the largest distributor and licensor of anime and manga in North America, adds another hot new title to its anime arsenal with the announcement of the subtitled, simulcast premiere of ACCEL WORLD (アクセル・ワールド, Akuseru Waarudo, 2012). The new sci-fi fantasy series (rated TV-14,) launches today — the same day it debuts in Japan — on VIZAnime.com, the company’s own website for free anime, as well on the free, ad-supported Hulu service and the Hulu Plus subscription service. Brand new installments of the 24-episode series are scheduled to premiere on the outlets every Friday.

I figured it would be quickly snapped, but not by Viz. This is not something I see as being the type of show that would be good for TV broadcast unlike with Tiger and Bunny. At least it is available for me to watch on Hulu, but then there is no knowing how long it will be before Viz actually gets this released.

Well I've already watched the first episode and posted my thoughts by this point, but of course there's always some disappointment from Viz streaming a new series, as it may prevent it from ever seeing a physical release if I end up liking it enough.
