For those following the tech specs: Sola BD twitter says that while the product description initially reported this would be 1080i, but upon further inspection of the materials, it'll be 1080p.

As for me, well, sola is a good show, maybe right on the fence of being BD-box-import-worthy. But I'm importing too much, including at least 4 BD boxes this year (Kannagi, HidaSketch, HidaSketch 365, Manabi), and I bet anything at least one more gets solicited around the holidays to tempt me. So I'll have to pass.

I would have strongly considered importing this, had I not already gotten the DVD box last year. Considering how I have the DRRR!! box and both Bakuman season 1 DVD sets and season 2 BD boxes due on top of other imports, I don't see myself getting this anytime soon, if ever.

Darn -- the inner jacket illustrations on the .ANIME version are really nice, but probably not worth the extra it'd cost to import it over the usual LE (which is 27% off at Amazon right now). You get 10% points, but of course you'd have to order from them again to use it...
