I do it since several weeks now in the anime section and adding that sentence made some people to register. I do see less unregistered votes now compare to before I add that sentence.

That remind me, I should buy the Sailor Moon manga...but...but...I want to watch the anime first... So, should I let them sleep on my shelf and wake them up the day Sailor Moon anime will be rescued? But, the kiss from Sailor Moon anime my never come...and the manga may sleep forever...

IMO, I'd buy the manga now. The way it has been selling (incredibly quickly) either means Kodansha will keep pumping out reprints, or that pre-existing editions will sell out that much quicker. In this day and age, it's better to buy US manga sooner than later.
