They are very useful. Thank you.
I had no idea that there were so many being published. That averages out to one new 4-koma book every day.
Now we just need to persuade Yen, or any other publisher, to license more. There are some, such as Ichiroh! and S. S. Astro that I have been thinking about for a while. I guess that I should stop thinking and just buy them.
Every little bit of incentive that Yen gets might help.

touma, you should give them every YEN you can by buying the two releases and then like me PRESS them to license more.

I enjoyed Ichiroh! and S. S. Astro.
Sadly, the serialisation of S. S. Astro is on hiatus.

I wrote a few postings about the hiatus.

Though there was a thing which may have become an omen of Bannō (S. S. Astro) Negi's return, it seems that what was carried in Manga Time Kirara Carino was an illustration, rather than a manga.

Mikage, who is the autor of Ichiroh!, now writes and draws the Whip Note 4-koma manga for the Manga Time Kirara Max magazine.

Oh, I didn't know that yen bills were current also at bookshops in the Centennial State. *po-facedly*

On a serious side note, FCI made a documentary in honour of Ralph Lawrence Carr, and Fuji TV broadcast it in 2010 and 2011.

This may answer your question:

I happened to post some messages about those things on the 4-koma thread at The Fandom Post.

The only hint we'll give is that it may be one of the most obscure but hilarious titles we've ever done.

Perhaps a 4-koma? But good to hear that Yen Press has more to announce, and soon!

I'm afraid probably they have not.

A recent tendency in 'animé-isation' of 4-koma manga is that 4-koma manga which are chosen are mainly so-called moé 4-koma. So, in view of it, now the chances may not be very high that a non-moé 4-koma will be made into an anime.
In a 'Which 4-koma manga do you want to see as an anime?' thread of 2ch, people often mentioned also non-moé 4-koma, non-otacky 4 koma, 'family' 4-koma, 'fundamentalist' 4-koma, 'old school' 4-koma, and the like, though. (OL Shinkaron and Kashimashi House, too, were mentioned.)

To give more details about this:

Well, since it is a jinx, it is a situation where people are seeing a supernatural relation between Thing X and Thing Y. So, it may be rather difficult to offer a non-supernatural explanation for the matter. But I try, anyway.

(There was also a jinx on Kirara 4-koma manga: a Kirara 4-koma manga which had a drama CD cannot have its anime version. But the jinx was broken with Acchi Kocchi's having its anime version.)

Except some very popular/prestigious titles, basically, media franchise-wise, 4-koma manga have been not big, in comparison with standard-format manga. So, many 4-koma manga didn't/couldn't cross over from their original medium to other forms, especially to anime.
Even if a 4-koma manga has its CD drama, usually it is something like an 'I want a motorcar, but I cannot afford a limousine and a chauffeur, so I buy a minicar' thing.
Another factor which can be taken into account is a matter of the sub-genre 'moé 4-koma'. So-called moé 4-koma are recent 4-koma manga which have otacky styles and contents and are aimed at younger otacky readers. As a matter of course, moé 4-koma have more chances to cross over from their original medium to other forms than non-moé 4-koma. But non-Kirara Hōbunsha 4-koma manga are non-moé 4-koma, non-otacky 4 koma, 'family' 4-koma, 'fundamentalist' 4-koma, 'old school' 4-koma, and the like. So, non-Kirara Hōbunsha 4-koma manga have less chances, and people tend to think that to have a drama CD is probably the limit of a non-moé 4-koma's capacity, even if it is so-so popular. Therefore, people also tend to think that there is such a jinx as that.

In fact, Dr Akira, Radical Hospital, Love Lab and Honey Café are non-Kirara Hōbunsha 4-koma manga and have drama CDs, but they don't/cannot cross over from their original medium to anime.

Hōbunsha also publishes 4-koma magazines which carry non-moé 4-koma manga.
