That will be a rare NISA release that I won't buy.

Screenshots look great!

I know there're locked subtitles on this, but I'm still interested in getting this since it's Go Nagai. Not sure I want to fork out for a Premium Edition though; have NISA said whether or not this will get a Standard Edition release, or should I not run the risk of it going OOP and simply get the Premium Edition?

It's not so much paying for the extra items that bothers me as much as the outsized packaging!

They don't do regular editions anymore. The last RE's I can remember were the re-releases of Toradora! and Wagnaria.

I wouldn't say that the OOP thing should be an issue unless they're giving it a really short/low print run. It's never going to be a top seller for them.

Where did you hear this? They have not said this (unless you heard something that's not publicly known). They released regular DVD editions earlier this year for Our Home's Fox Deity, Pandora Hearts, and PERSONA -trinity soul-.

Yes, but if you go by their more recent strategy, if you could call it that, they re-release premium editions (see AnoHana, Bunny Drop) instead of releasing standard editions. I know that those two are more in demand than Pandora Hearts and Persona for example, but still.

I didn't mean to sound like I meant that they'll NEVER release regular editions again. My mistake.

It's not 100% clear how many run(s) the premium editions are suppose to receive. At the moment, it seems that select series will get more than 1 run of the premium editions (as you noted already: AnoHana & Bunny Drop). IMO, they are still going through the feeling process on this (for BD/DVD combo & BD releases).
