Yeah, saw this ealier and was on my way here to post about it. Looks like I've gotten myself into another deep rabbithole here...

The news story is on the official iM@S blog as well, for anyone who wants a more direct link. They've yet to announce who is providing their voice talents.

In more mainline iM@S music news, whilst doing one of my far-too-frequent browses around to see if the request/cover song for the first Namasuka Special CD has been leaked yet, I notice that Animate have a listing for a store-exclusive box for those who buy all five volumes from them... which I guess means there's going to be five CDs to the Namasuka series (they've actually got listings for five volumes of it as well, though no dates or details).

The A track for the first CD is already known to be Kyun! Vampire Girl. I'd presume that the other CDs are all going to be other unreleased iM@S2 tracks, so Ai Like Hamburger, Honey Heartbeat, Little Match Girl and... I'm kind of drawing a blank on what the last one will be

Saw this in my email today. Another Animation Master will be released July 4th this year. Amazon

This one looks to be focused on the Project Fairy girls judging by the image at Amazon (is that the cover they're going to use?).

I thought I was done buying iM@S music for a bit, too...will tack this on to some future order.

Yeah it's the real cover and it's pretty epic.

Definitely epic. I like how Takane is going after the neck, looking like she's drawing blood, while Miki is going for the arm - hungry much?

Yeah, this is the first Namasuka Special CD that was announced a while back - it's the first of five CDs that should cover the PS3/DLC songs which haven't been released thus far. This one is covering Kyun! Vampire Girl, the second is going to be a Ryuugu Komachi CD featuring Nanairo Button. Presumably the rest will have Honey Heartbeat, Ai Like Hamburger and Little Match Girl.

There's actually been a bit of a kerfuffle about the CD over the last few days - the track listing for it was released on the 11th, but was promptly pulled on the 14th. It seems like there was a rights issue with one of the tracks on the CD.

It's not really clear which track there was an issue with - the track listing featured some six cover songs, three of which were fairly nerdy, three of which somewhat less so. I can't remember the full tracklisting, unfortunately (lot's of stuff I'd not heard previously), but there was a version of the second One Piece opening Believe, and one of Takanes covers was Connect from MadoMagi...

Interesting. I wonder why then the CDs will fall under the Animation Master label unless they're going to be covered in the unaired episode since the preview shows it's going to be another Namasuka segment. I dont remember the extra songs being performed in the anime.

So I did it, I bought all the singles for The iDOLM@STER, next step would be to get the CDs. I hope to be able to get them asap, but March will be so huge... Do I have everything related to the anime?

I really like this album, and it has some songs (or at least versions thereof, I haven't compared exactly) not on the AniMas discs so it's not quite redundant.
