Remember everything that was awesome about the first season? Well, take that, triple it, and run it at high speed from start to finish, and you have this episode.

Easily the best episode yet, funny, action packed, and just in general loads and loads of fun.

Also...YUUSHA BECKY! She's going to be the hero for Ao-chan's squirrel Kingdom! I CANNOT CONTAIN ALL MY LOVES

And of course Nanami totally thinks this is the coolest thing ever, and is all about being Leon-hime's hero.

Well that was weird. Squirrel girl was promising though. The field day fighting & politics don't make a lick of sense though. Not sure if I want to watch more.

I told him elsewhere that he's not allowed to talk to me about Dog Days' until he watches the first season. If I read one "this is dumb because I don't know what is going on" comment in reference to something explained in the first season, I'm gonna have to choke a bitch.

Ahahaha, Shinku doesn't give Rebecca and particularly Nanami any preparation at all. "We're going on a trip. Your escort will be arriving soon. Oh BTW, we're going to another world via portal. LOL"

Nanami's reaction to seeing a big battle: "I wanna play tooooooo!!!" And then she gets a stupidly awesome entrance scene.

OH GOD YES, the cute squirrel girl is voiced by Yuuki Aoi!!!!!! And Becky's going to become her hero! THIS IS THE BEST SHOW EVER.

The ED is very cute. Haha, Nanami is surfing. And Becky gets a broom to fly on. Oh right, I'll have to remember to watch after the ED each episode for the cute little illustrations and comments.

So yeah, its more of the Dog Days I already liked quite a bit, except its already several times as awesome.

Even just the first episode would explain most of that setting stuff. I mean, he should watch the rest anyway just because its cute and awesome and stuff, but I'm pretty sure episode 1 takes care of all or most of explaining how the fighting and politics of the stuff works.

YUUSHA BECKY is quite the surprise. That was not hinted at at all in any of the previews.

Especially with that (fucking awesome) Nanami/Becky Megami pinup. I figured this was implying Beck would end up with Leon-hime and Nanami would be playing her protector and all. That's a full out hime-carry right there, complete with holding one removed shoe. But instead, Becky is going to be a hero? Fuck yes.

But I have to wonder what the heck she'll do. Cinque and Nanami are just crazy athletic, and while being in Flonyard enhances that, it's still their innate abilities that are being expanded upon. Just going to Flonyard doesn't make a normal person superhuman. So for Becky, I'm trying to remember if there were any hints in season one that she was, physically-speaking, special (besides being hot). Millhi mentioned archery or firearms, so they seem to be taking her lack of physical prowess into consideration already. Was she supposed to be really smart? Perhaps a mage... her costume choice doesn't really give anything away.
