This is the one where the uncensored version comes first, and the censored later, right? That's sure backwards, but in a good way. It doesn't look like CR even has a tentative air date listed on the series page, so I most certainly won't be waiting just to get a censored version.
I read that CR will air the show on the 14th - one week delay. Ill check out the CR stream then - if its censored ill drop it and then watch episode 2 uncensored if I liked the first episode.

I didn't think you'd be into a Kumeta series honestly. I have no reason to have this impression but I just never thought you'd be into Kumeta series', less so to have high expectations of one.

Yeah, and their tendency to do this is why I don't like using their subs. And in the case of that one line, it didn't even make sense in context.

I personally think the addition of fuck in phrases when the binbougami is pissed off makes sense.
I'm pretty sure it was used more than once for Ichiko as well. "Fuck" really stands out in dialogue because its pretty strong language, isn't use very often, and is rarely justifiable. Yeah, she's supposed to sound like a course, like a thug/punk/gangster or something. Most translations don't feel a need to use f-bombs for those kinds of characters.

I was puzzled by that line, too until I decided to read the TL notes; then it made sense. The god is technically trying to steal Ichiko's fortune - thus the word thief was used in place of what binbougami should mean. Do I agree with the choice? Not really, its cute, bit unnecessary.

True. I found it to be a fine stylistic choice when the characters are talking in an extremely strong tone since it gets the tone across even though I can hear it. But, I can see how the liberal use of fuck can be annoying to people.

Hahaha commie, christ no, they're just gg-lite. Fuck them with fire. Anyway another group released Returns so it's moot now.

? You say that as if there are a dozen Kumeta works adapted into anime. As far as TV series go, I've watched 100% of the adaptations available - i.e. 1 out of 1, Zetsubou-sensei. Either way it's cute girls sitting around talking, which is like the surest definition of "what I'm into" usually.

Lol. I was talking about Binbougami, not Moyashimon - I have no clue what gg is doing for that show.

I forgot you don't watch OVA's or read manga all that often. But the way these kind of comedies are presented didn't seem like the thing I've ever seen you discuss before or I've looked over it on accident, so I guess that's why I was unsure as to if you'd like it.

I haven't seen a Kumeta anything discussed here really so I'm quite interested in a lot of peoples opinion on it.

The Zetsubou threads didn't get a huge number of posts, but they were at least consistently posted in from start to finish. One problem with Zetsubou was very very slow and sporadic fansub availability, which is why I wish CR had gotten Joshiraku, because I'm obviously not going to watch it raw.

Well it's certainly realistic, unless gangsters have started speaking more politely than regular people. There are plenty of f-bombs just on this forum...

The last I checked, we aren't anime characters. Or in any sort of work of fiction.
