Yeah, I don't have anything non-sequel left that looks like it has any chance. Jinrui is definitely #2 among non-sequels right now. Joshiraku and Ebiten should be fun but I doubt as fun as Jintai or Kokoko. [1]

[1] I have no idea what the "official" nickname for ココロ コネクト but it should totally be コココ.

Well, I don't want to derail the thread any further, but a fair amount of shows have had body swapping episodes. Cross gender body swapping is less common, so I thought it was interesting that I happened to see two other shows that had episodes like that within the past month.

Fairy Tail had one too, but way back in episode 19.

Anyway, I wasn't complaining about a lack of originality - it is very difficult to be an anime fan and require that every new show be completely original.

Himeko is the most Sawashiro Miyuki character ever. Absolutely made for her.

The show as a whole was fantastic. Even better than I expected. Love it.

I had fun thinking that if this situation happened backstage at a recording session, I'd imagine Sawashiro, Toyosaki and Kanemoto would act exactly like their characters... especially the first two. That just made it all the more fun.

I'm definitely not denying that. I'm just not remembering any particular episodes at the moment.

Well, the opening song was nice. Certainly, the body swap premise has potential.

My main issue is I just don't find the cast, apart from Iori and main dude's imouto who was on for 2 seconds, interesting. And, due to the way Iori's dimple was animated, I keep thinking there is spot on my monitor I need to wipe off.

When main dude went off on pro wrestling, that was kind of annoying. (also, the porn thing kind of soured me). The other guy is a player, Himeko can be kind of harsh (thinking of how she interacted with her family--I hope there is a back story there), and Yui wasn't exactly overflowing with personality.

Shrug. I'll give it another episode.

I'd be willing to bet the backstory is "being teenagers and siblings". There might be something really specific, but I wouldn't expect much there.

Was that her brother? I couldn't tell if it was her father or brother. Still, they went to the trouble of showing the families of most of the main cast and several appeared to have family issues. I would hope that the body swapping somehow helps them resolve this. Or maybe my expectations for the show are off and it will go a more comedic route (even if I think body swapping for laughs would get old after a couple episodes).
