So, SAO gets a bit of Higurashi flavor today. Obviously without the time-loop and the deaths aren't gory, but Yoruko's flip-out was pretty much right in line with USO DA.

Anyways, we meet Asuna again and she is awesome.

Nah, he said he was a soloer (last ep, when talking to red-head and them). He likely teams up with the big guilds for the boss raids, but spends most of his time alone. He only went back down for that one job because no one else was willing to take time out of their busy schedules and strategy meetings and whatnot to deal with a group of PKers.

Asuna herself shows a bit of that at the start of this episode, but seems to have relaxed a bit after her nap.

Sounds like it's about the same as the Google TV app, which I suppose would be fine quality if I were watching it on a smart phone; on an HDTV, though, it's crap. They promised a number of improvements to it over six months ago that still haven't appeared. I just use the Google TV's Chrome browser instead, as well.

Silica tries to go out on her own thinking she is invincible with Pina by her side, only to lose him and having to be saved by Kirito after an argument with Rosalia. Silica looks like his sister, and seeing how it is possible to revive Pina that Kirito helps her. Thus, the concept of green players and orange players are introduced, with PKs being marked with an orange marker. Rosalia is that type of person, except she is a green player doing the luring while her orange henchmen do all the dirty work. They could take down several unsuspecting players that way, but it does not work on Kirito, and so those thugs go to prison while Pina is revived and living happily with Silica.

That was a very nice episode that gets away from the dark mood that has been set, with a nice way to end the episode. Silica is just cute while Rosalia got what she deserved for gaming the system like that.

Time for a nap with Asuna while the rest of the party goes out on a quest to lure a boss to kill NPCs. And then comes a PK in a town. Players were supposed to be safe in towns, with no threat of monsters and no PK-ing unless it is in a duel. Except that someone managed to find a loophole to this rule. Thus comes Yoruko, who saw the whole thing, and believes that someone is out to get them due to the dispute over what to do with a rare item. And it looks like Grimwald is the PK, and Yoruko gets all paranoid before getting PKed.

That episode was pretty good seeing how there is a crime going on that was not intended to be a part of the game, and now, this story will take two episodes to resolve. Plus, Asuna is back and ready to travel together with Kirito once again. It was just depressing to watch Yoruko go out like that.

And, I think its mentioned Kirito works on the front-lines and even told Silica he needs to go back to it since he's been away from it too long. Isn't Klein part of a different guild? So does the front-line just a group of powerful players and a guild takes charge for different bosses?

The videos encoded for the android app is made for smartphones (no higher than 480p) as the quality looks meh on my tablet. Going through the mobile website yields me better quality like you using chrome.

The "front lines" isn't just a single guild, and it would make sense for guilds to work together to take down bosses. They're obviously willing to take help from non-guild members if they're letting Kirito in. And Klein's guild seemed fairly small and they clearly weren't a top guild (though they did somehow hold off a much larger group from one of those top guilds....), so it wouldn't be surprising if they just joined a larger guild at some point, but I think its more likely they're just working with the Blood Oaths temporarily like Kirito is.

I'm on my tablet right now and its always a pain to type. What I meant to ask was does a different guild (depending who is currently in the front-lines) take command for each boss that needs to be cleared.

I would guess that its based on either who reaches the boss first or which guild is the strongest at the time.

Default Episode 6

Episode 6:

- Bye bye Yolko (ah, spelling confirmed). Again. Kirito chases after the killer but the latter teleports away.
- Asuna's handmade sandwiches! Hints at the bit in the OP where she's cooking.
- Oh no, Kirito. That sandwich looked yummy. orz indeed.
- Ahh. So the weapons weren't game weapons either. They were actually handmade? That must be what he's getting at. Granted the distinction between handmade and game entity seems a little arbitrary when everything is inside the game.

- Oh. Or Kains and Yolko just faked it. Hahah, okay, nice.
- Kirito, your deduction is clever and all but there's no way you really would have reached it with the evidence you had. It's just pure plot necessity. Well whatever.
- Another PK guild. This one seems rather more sadistic. And one is obviously Grimlock. Or Grimrock. Or Grimdark. Whatever his name is.
- And Kirito rides in just in time. And unceremoniously falls on his ass, heh.

- Marriage means shared inventory? Oh man there must be so many gold-diggers of either gender in this game.
- Annnnd speaking of. Grimlock, you jerk.
- Yay Asuna.
- Huh, so they were married for real. And Stupid Grimjerk was jealous of how well she did in-game, and had her killed.
- You have received a friend request from: Asuna.

Heh. I love how terrified Kirito is of Asuna. They're such a cute couple.

Another good episode. So, when does the show actually start?

And oooh that Asuna ending illustration. Yay Buriki.

So that's how Kirito friended Asuna. This is such a weird experience for me. And, lol at Asuna's cooking. We love you for investing time in trade skills. <3

Anyway, moral of the story: always check the name plate down in starting city when you think someone died. It's the only way to know for sure!
