The cover is ok I guess...but once again ruined.

The cover looks alright and I guess it works given the quality of animation this show has. But once again, the S.A.V.E. banner does its thing to ruin it. And they made Kouichi look like the psycho that he really is.

You know how the PS2,PS3,Xbox 360 logos etc are on the spines BUT the spine also includes a coloured logo of the product. Is there seriously not a reason why Funimation cant do a similar thing with these S.A.V.E editions?

Like a PS2 case maybe? With the Green save banner horizontal on the front cover and a small vertical banner on the spine at the top.

Honestly don't know why these are sold like this, remember Viridian Collection? those were classy, these are less appealing despite the price. Like some said maybe thats the point in order to get people to buy the more expensive versions. Expect those more expensive versions are going OOP, why not just lower the RRP on the complete collections already out there and keep printing them, maybe reprint them with a slight change to the cover to include a Save edition money bin logo. Unobtrusive on the spine and front cover. Then lower the RRP.

And imo if you can consider some of the shows they put in the Anime Classics Brand (looking at you Ergo proxy, pretty but story? Broken much?) then they might as well just put them all in it. Regardless of how well it sold in the past.

The back looks decent enough. The catchphrase "Everything you never wanted in a hero" is right on the money given how much of a jerk Kouichi is that I was totally on the bad guys bandwagon for this show. Once again, whatever good comes from this cover is totally wiped out by that ugly S.A.V.E. banner on it.
