And finally, since people like to ask me what other people are buying, I wanted to mention that Cat Planet Cuties is on track to become our best selling BD or DVD release so far this year. While I'm sure it will be dethroned shortly by Arrietty, the demand for it since we got it in has just been incredible and so far it has sold nearly 3x our expectations. What can I say - cat girls rule!! :-)

It looks like this series is the first to get the regular edition (alt SKU) since January 2012. I wouldn't put too much attention to the street date (a Sunday) listed by AAA Anime. What it probably means is that, it will probably be released toward end of September. FUNimation started to solicit LE only since February 2012. I guess it's safe to say that this series is performing well for FUNimation.

The list below are LE releases (released before Cat Planet Cuties) that don't have a regular edition (alt SKU) solicited.

Funimation let us know this week that they are now completely sold out of the original release version of Cat Planet Cuties (FN-07870), and that a new iteration (FN-07871) will be available to ship to retailers in a couple of weeks. The new version will carry an MSRP that is $5 lower than the original, and I'm told the only other difference is that FN-07871 will be a plain 4 disc amaray version with an O-card instead of being packaging in the nice rigid box.

EDIT: TRSI LE now has a counter of 250 and dropping...
EDIT 2: and the alt SKU is listed @ TRSI.

FWIW, Amazon.com has the regular edition (alt SKU) listed. They note a September 11th release date. TRSI and RACS still note a toward the end of September time frame.
