As Seven Seas has reported some time ago, it has now been confirmed. Dance in the Vampire Bund will be ending in the September 5th issue of its serialization in Japan (will be 14 volumes total).

With the end of that series, seven seas will only end theirs best selling one. Let's hope SS will have luck with the likes of Haganai and that Kuni no Alice stuff continues to preform well.

I will do my part with Haganai and girlfriends when those come out.

Gunslinger Girl is set to conclude in October.

Seven Seas will be releasing the 5th omnibus (volume 11-12) in September, and the 6th omnibus (volumes 13-14) in January. So then it'll just be one single volume release (15th and final) and we'll be done with the series here in NA by mid-2013.

It really has been, right? Seems that 2012-2013 has been a monumentally huge season for announcing the end to not just smaller series, but well-known and long-running established manga. It's been something else to watch and hear as the news has come out over the last year.

And yes, Seven Seas is losing two of its big hitters next year, with Dance in the Vampire Bund and Gunslinger Girls. Not to mention, that eliminates two of their main "action" manga. Railgun will be more or less caught up with next year, and that leaves it open for their bolstered rom-com lineup (I Don't Like You At All, Big Brother!!, Haganai, Mayo Chiki!).

Sure there is Angel Para Bellum, but I honestly don't think it'll fair as well as Vampire Bund has here in the US. If I'm not mistaken, the series is currently only 4 volumes long in Japan, so that doesn't leave a whole lot to catch up with here.

Really hope in the upcoming year that Seven Seas manages to pick up a few more series to cover some holes.

From what I heard blood alone isn't in hiatus, the new publisher just doesn't want to sell the rights for the new volumes.
What I want form them is new yuri manga, besides girlfriends there's nothing in the horizon (just yesterday I requested a bunch). And kokoro connect manga is just SS face, I'm hoping they can pick it up in future(I just love the art of the manga).

But yeah Angel para Bellum doesn't seem that good (haven't read it), and besides the romcom stuff (that I like by the way) the catholog is Manhwa heavy.

But it isn't just seven seas all manga publishers besides yen press, seem to be losing a lot of series in the near future.

It would appear that Dance in the Vampire Bund may not be done just yet.

I guess we will have to wait to find out if the current story will be completed in volume 14, which is what I hope for, and the second part will be a completely new story.

EDIT: I should have added "If there really will be a second part." I am not assuming that this is true.
Does anybody who uses Twitter know if manganewsjapon is a reliable source?

Hmmm... Did we heard anything about it from Japan? Or this is the first hint?

This Anime News Network article seems to confirm the second season of Dance in the Vampire Bund, as well as a mini-series.
