Ah, so it did end up being Yuri and not Johnny. Oh well, it's not like I never imagined him being chosen for the part. Now to wait for the announcement of Tiger's VA.

Kyle is always at Anime Expo. The fact that this mentions Yuri as Bunny and not Tiger's VA makes me think that the latter is someone who won't be there.

Tiger & Bunny Dub Cast Announcement

Alrighty, here's your LAST announcement! Congrats to all who guessed correctly. Your ears do not deceive you, our new Wild Tiger is Wally Wingert!

The voice of the The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Riddler (Batman: Arkham City), Renji (Bleach) and tons more is now honing his voice to become your hige-d hero.

psst hige = bearded or whishkered. Who says you don't learn anything from the interwebs?

Definitely wasn't expecting Wally as Tiger. Oh well, he sounds alright in that clip, as unrepresentative of the character as it is. Hopefully it all ends up sounding good. Since everyone is already announced (other than minor characters like Hans Chuckman, Dr. Rotwang, Samantha Taylor, and Mr. Legend), I assume Viz will be giving us release dates, or at least I certainly hope so.

I honestly had Troy Baker pegged as Tiger, and imagined Wally as Lunatic. Wally as Tiger is a little odd to me, although he definitely can do the corny, earnest superhero shtick well enough. Can he handle the other more nuanced aspects of Kotetsu's personality though? Guess we'll find out soon.

It sure was a surprise having Wally voicing Tiger. I don't really think of him as being the lead guy, and I would have thought that Steve Blum would have received the role before he ended up being cast as Jake. Given the fact that Crispin Freeman is not voicing any major characters that I had the suspicion it was going to be him.
