Elfen Lied has one OVA-episode
Genshiken, Kujiki Unbalance 3 episodes
Hellsing Ultimate, "The Dawn" short episodes (don't know how many)
Planetes, 9 picture dramas
RahXephon one OVA bundled with game
Spice and Wolf has two OVA episodes and one "Training with Holo" short
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, one short OVA included with a game
To Aru Majutsu no Index has those "To Aru Majutsu no Index-tan" omakes
Toradora! has one OVA and four mini-episodes
Tsukuyomi Moon Phase, one OVA
Vandread, two OVAs
Wolf's Rain, four OVAs
So what are the status of those on DVD/BD in R1?

All I know is that Azumanga Daioh's "Very Short Movie" was included in the singles and I believe only the 2009 complete collection re-release. And that Vandread's OAV was released with the FUNi Ultimate Collection (and its Anime Classics re-release).
The Elfen Lied OVA has never been released in the R1 market. If I remember correctly, ADV had announced that they were getting it and then they went under.

The Genshiken OVA episodes were included as part of the Kujibiki Unbalance singles (one per volume) as well as on the two collections. They were also included in the Genshiken DX release, which bundled the OVAs with the first season.

Hellsing Ultimate "The Dawn" OVA hasn't been released in R1. It was bundled with OVA 8 in Japan, so it really hasn't had an opportunity to make it's way over here. If I had to guess though, I'd say it'll wind up getting it's own release (looks like it's going to be 3 episodes long).

The Spice and Wolf OVAs have been in every R1 release. The first one is episode 7 of season 1 and the second is episode 0 of season 2. The "Holo" shorts (Training and stretching) were included in the S2 release as well as the recent S1 and S2 combo re-release.

The Wolf's Rain OVAs were part of the normal release that Bandai did (as episodes 27-30). They were in included in every collection since then (the LE collection, two half sets and the perfect collection).

The Moon Phase OVA was included in both the singles and all collection re-releases as episode 26.

Episodes 20.5 and 21.5 of Shiki are included in Part 2 of FUNimation's release.

Also left out Martian Successor Nadesico: The Gekiganger III OAV was left off all ADV releases of the show, but is included in the Right Stuf re-release.

The criteria is basically whenever there's a TV series and an OAV or omake comes later (or, in the case of Strike Witches, it began as an OAV and a TV series came later). Standalone OAVs (such as FLCL) shouldn't be included.

I'd just like to correct the Code Geass picture drama situation... only the first set of them were localized, NOT the ones for the second season. Nor was the Birthday picture drama (or the Nunnally in Wonderland OVA, which recently came out.) There were also two recap specials (not sure if TV specials or OVAs) and those were not localized either. Ill find outmore later, but that's a complete list for Code Geass.

Black Lagoon: afaik only R2
Bunny Drop: R1
Chrono Crusade: R1
Planetes: R1
RahXephon: R2
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: R2
To Aru Majutsu no Index: the R1 product description doesn't seem to mention the Index-tan episodes, but I guess we'll find out in December
Toradora!: mini episodes R1, OVA R2 only

Argento Soma, one OVA episode included in the R1 release
Genshiken 2, Ramen Tenshi Pretty Menma picture drama included in the R1 release
Gintama, one OVA/special I think is R2 only
Love Hina, one extra episode, two TV specials and three OVAs all released in R1
Scryed, my memory is a bit fuzzy on this one, but I think the R1 release included some picture drama(s)?
Squid Girl, 2 "Mini Ika Musume Bangaihen" specials, R1

Wasn't there an omake for Master of Martial Hearts? I seem to recall seeing some screenshots of the girls at the hot springs.

If there was, it wasn't present on the FUNi release.

Also forgot to mention that the Freezing release contains the OAVs. At least, that's what it says on Right Stuf.

About the Planetes audio dramas, some of them were missing from the complete set because they were included in a second disc on some of the single volumes.

I remember that. I learned it after buying the complete set in 2006, I ended up buying the singes after that. After that, I sure checked more carefully about all the following anime I bought since I didn't want something like that to happen again.
