@KyuubiMinato It's still going to be released in the UK. @KazeUK have said that it will now be a subtitle-only release due to the cancelation of the title in the USA. Should be more details on this soon. ^JG

MB still hasn't come out and made any form of official statement regarding whether they have canceled Bakuman yet, have they?

That still doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me...isn't the dub already completed?

They have not. What Manga UK pretty much says all. Media Blasters pretty much have no intention to go forward with the license. There is also a good chance they may not even have the license anymore.

If the dub is completed, Kaze UK (distributed by Manga UK) would have used it. This tells me that the dub is most likely incomplete (or maybe unavailable for some reason).

- Why hold the licensing rights to a title (Bakuman) if you keep pushing it back, and then say you don't plan to do anything with it?

- I believe it will go to Viz. We wanted to release it but the sales were not there.

What a ridiculous line of thinking. I didn't buy the DVD sets because of the possibility of a Blu-ray release, then they announced a Blu-ray release but kept delaying it, followed by the fact that they never even released the 2nd season on DVD let alone Blu-ray. Why would I buy the first DVD set with all of this going on? Hell, did they ever even release all of the 1st season on Blu-ray?

Though on the plus side, I hope Viz does get the license. At this point they're a safer bet for a release than Media Blasters, which is actually kind of sad.

"The sales weren't there." What a joke of a company.

The sales weren't there because everyone was holding out for a complete season set or blu-ray release, umm HELLO?!?!? nobody want to own anything that is incomplete!

It's a sad day when people are hoping for a title to go to Viz instead of another anime company. You've reached a new low, Media Blasters...
