Sunrise Studio 8 (Mai-Hime studio) are completely free at the moment, one team just finished Accel World, the other Horizon 2 and their movie, Nerawareta Gakuen just released. Guess they can poor their resources into Love Live, just disappointed that it's apparently keeping the "2d in close, 3dcgi mid range and beyond" look that the music videos had. I don't think they would've matched the talent A-1 brought to bear with idolmaster.. but Studio 8 would've came close.

This is why I won't even be bothering with it. It seems like Idolmaster is the only idol anime that can bother to actually draw the characters normally during musical sequences (goddamnit Aikatsu, goddamnit AKB, goddamnit Love Live).

I preferred the anime ending as well. Still, I would like to see more of Bamboo Blade animated, they could differ from the manga... I'm sure they could do something quite interesting.

Hey haven't had a pachinko game adaptation in a while! Not that this one shares much of anything with the others, which didn't share anything in common with each other.

Edit: Oh, looks like this is something of a spiritual successor to Lupin, in a creative sense. Created by Monkey Punch, character designs by the Lupin III designer, animated by TMS Animation, the studio behind most of the Lupin stuff.
