- Like Ali Baba would be dead. Nicely played Ali Baba. It helps that the Lord is dumb.
- Wait... what? Morgiana can run up walls. Can’t wait for her to join the party.

5pisode 4:

- Morgiana!

And some other stuff. Throughout most of this episode I felt like it was being... I dunno, kinda childish. I get this is a shounen manga and all but it just felt silly. I suppose it was intentionally playing up the cheesiness to contrast with killing Baba off at the end, but it didn't really work for me.

I'm still on board for watching more, but something is going to have to change before I start truly enjoying it. Presumably, that means more Morgiana.

And man, this setting reminded me so much of the beginning part of Fire Emblem 7

Seems like there is always some evil power hungry madman around to oppress others.
One evil creates another and round and round it goes...
That old woman really was amazing.
So Aladdin can see ghost too, pretty cool.
The princess was pretty impressive as well with only good intentions.
As it usually is, good intentions just get you into trouble..
Luckily she had Aladdin to help her out.

So it looks like after the introduction/setup arc, we get a couple of episodes with each character before they can be reunited and start on the rest of the plot. Well, Morgiana and Alibaba are together right now, so maybe Alibaba will be in the next one a little. His humorous lines in the preview implied that he would basically be sitting this out despite being present. I like all the characters enough at this point, so this all seems fine to me. I do look forward to seeing it all eventually come together, but it looks like these "side-stories" of sorts are in no way insignificant.

The princess was pretty impressive as well with only good intentions.

Pretty princess loses clothes when she powers up. The djinns are quite powerful, and they're wearing hardly anything. Are piercings the next step up? With fanservice comes power!! The characters'll figure that out sooner or later. ^^;;

Luckily she had Aladdin to help her out.

It gave her a much better outcome, and then we see more manipulation going on back home. <sigh>

I liked the episode, even if some of its plot elements had been used an infinite number of times before. It assembled them pretty well.

- Looks like war is coming, exactly what Hakuei didn't want.
- Baba is still alive, but just long enough to agree to the treaty.
- As predicted, Ryosai fired that arrow. Not even Magical Girl Hakuei can go up against an army.
- It's Ugo to the rescue. And another genie is summoned.
- Aladdin is off to find Alibaba and Morgiana.

So after this side story, it's off to the main storyline again. Hakuei and Seishun will be back soon as Judal is apparently the magi for their kingdom. Hakuei wants to make the kingdom one big happy family, but of course there are creeps like Ryosai not wanting any part of it. As it turns out, Ryosai is quite jealous, which is his motivation for wanting the kingdom to be a conquering nation. Up next, the focus will turn to Morgiana.
