Well, the publisher is listed as Studio Canal/Optimum so I have a small amount of hope for a quality release. I guess it depends on what materials they have to work with when making the transfer. I hope it is at least better than the crappy 1080i Vap release, and hopefully with no tampering from goddamn TMS.

It's too bad it's just the same old 1080i transfer seen on pretty much every Blu Ray of Lupin III
Would it kill them to actually do some restoration work? I know it's not officially Ghibli, but c'mon! |

Yep, same old noisy (not grainy, it really is noise) 1080i transfer. Still better miles than the PAL DVD, and the original opening sequence is intact, so not much complaint for the low price. We can only hope Ghibli decide to re-scan it properly at some point.
