And The Otaku's Study is reporting the upcoming release Part 1 of 2 (DVD ONLY).

Character commentary, TV Spots, clean opening and clean ending animations.

What’s interesting about this release is that the series will be launching with a really nice collectable package as well as a seriously cool hardcover book. From what we can tell, the first part will be releasing in March while the second part will be releasing in April.

the images will be updated when we receive a final product. Essentially we upgraded a plastic DVD case, for a hardcover book. The book itself will feature extra written content and images. The discs will be slotted neatly inside the book.

Part 1 now has an updated artwork. It look like they are going with a digibook packaging with a removable ratings wrap.

Hi everyone,

We're terribly sorry to inform you all that Bakemonogatari has been delayed due to Production Delays. Currently the Part 1 release that was announced to be on sale March 6th is to be expected in April now whilst Part 2's release date has been pushed from April 3rd and is currently TBA.

We're endeavoring to do our best to ensure that this release gets into stores as quick as possible and we'll keep you updated with any further developments.

Hi Everyone!

Thought I'd share with you the first look at our Bakemonogatari release :)

As the anime was adapted from a series of books, we thought it would be cool to pay tribute to the original format. So we worked with a local design studio to create a hybrid DVD/Book, then presented it to a specialist manufacturer in Southern China who created samples (some of which were rejected, causing delays), then eventually printed them up for all of us.

Most of them are now at customs in Sydney and after a couple more days of processing should be at your favorite anime store.

But as I'm in Hong Kong today the manufacturer set aside a box to give us all an early look :)
