Yeah, true. I pay a fee dependant on item cost, but I don't have to pay the 25% customs fee. For example, I paid $20 extra for the Haruhi BD Box and I saved probably around $40.

I have two guys and they'd probably happy to take "orders" from anyone and they both have great feedback on various forums. Let me know if you want their info. They're both American living in Japan. For Amazon.jp and YAJ they're great.

YAJ is perfect if you don't necessarily NEED brand new stuff. For example, yesterday I found (but didn't buy) a complete set of Hanasaku Iroha BD for 38k Yen, which is around 20k less of what you would pay if you bought all volumes new from Amazon.jp today. And of course, the condition of the volumes and boxes is excellent.

Ah, so you're using a forwarding service. I didn't know if you just had a friend there that was forwarding at cost, which would put you in a great situation. I probably don't need it in the US since there's no custom fees here, but I can see why it would be a lot better for you if you can cut off 25%.

KyoAni Shop store bonus: the Nichijou board game they originally sold at Comiket 81 and later on the store itself. Not a bad way to (a) get rid of some stock and (b) provide something that other stores can't.

Here's the cover art for the tall case containing the 12 NHK episodes, and here's the cover art for the tall case containing the bonus footage.

Would you happen to know when the sale ends?

Amazon regularly discounts titles they have excess of, so I don't think there's really a set end date. Discounts and length of time discounted change often.

One of the best way to keep track of current discounts on anime is to check this page. It's in Japanese but if you're importing you know how to recognize titles in Japanese.

This page does miss some stuff occasionally, and hasn't yet updated to include the Nichijou discounts, but it's a good place to start.

Thanks!

Hopefully I'll be able to pick them up before too late.

That's cool.
I picked up the board game through a forwarding service recently.
