I know that I've received discs before the bonus item (or was it the other way around) in the past, so I'm not sure if things have changed at TRSI, or she was just erring on the side of caution.
Did she say when they're gonna ship out Lain w bonus item? It's the only item in my order that's left to be "reserved"
She didn't know when it was going to ship. I do have three other items in the same order which aren't released until next year, so that will confuse things a little bit. I'll just keep checking on the order every weeknight via the website, and when the bonus item arrives, I'll give 'em a call to see if they'll separate it from the rest of the order (without charging extra) and ship it to me. At least I don't have to worry about international shipping and procedures...

Heh, it was actually my Bakemonogatari order that was shipped, not Lain. I didn't open the e-mail, just saw the shipping confirmation in the subject and assumed it was Lain because of the release dates for both sets!

Also, remember that the release was pushed back to Nov 27!

Oh okay, i will continue waiting patiently then. I just hope the package will avoid December madness.

EDIT: Now all the items in my order says "Reserved" so it could ship any time between today and tomorrow! If it avoids customs i will have it in a week's time :D

Enjoy! I would be curious to know what you think of the release when you'll have it in hands.

I don't have my copy yet, I saw it in that unboxing video. The guy actually sticks in the disc and goes through the menu etc.

Excuse my language but oh my God, the whole release looks fucking fantastic. The the booklet contents are actually informative and the artbook isn't actually a collection of pretty illustrations, it's a collection of production materials. I love stuff like that. Even the is menu looks like the most creative thing I've ever seen Funi do with their BD menus. Eco case is still bleh but everything else more than makes up for it. I honestly never thought I'd find myself praising a Funi release this much. That seriously looks like one of the best US releases in recent times.
