that's how the Japanese R2 discs were as well

the whole set is basically modeled after the Japanese R2 LE singles (or in the case of Chapter 8 it's standalone DVD release)

the soundtrack CDs are really the only other worthwhile thing I know of that they could've included, but I already have the Kazé boxset which has them so I'm personally not too bothered by them not being in this

You already got your copy? You can't really tell the depth of the artbox from this AoA snapshot. It does look like it's thicker than paper (like those super thin MB paper boxes).

You can easily tell it isn't chipboard. On the angle that shows the discs/cases, look at the left side of the box. It's clearly bending in. Chipboard doesn't do that.

It looks the same as the Madoka LE boxes, which looks fine while shrink wrapped, but is actually incredibly flimsy.
