Crunchyroll’s announcements for the winter anime season continue with the acquisition of Ai Mai Mi. This new comedic series, about three girls trying to break into manga, is set to broadcast every Thursday starting on January 3, at 7:30 am Pacific Time for premium members. Free members will be able to view one week after initial broadcast on Crunchyroll.

Rejoice! Ai Mai Mi will be available to worldwide audiences except for Japan.

So another five-minute short is coming. At least the character designs are appealing enough for me to take a peak.

It looks like the next planned announcement won't come until January 2nd.

EDIT 2: 2 more TBD boxes got added for Catalog Titles as well (2 of them for 12/28).

Senyuu, Puchimas, Ishida to Asakura, and I assume Hetalia are all also short episodes and I bet at least two of those get announced.

There's really an obscene number of these shows this season.

I'm curious if the price per episode decreases for shorter episodes or if this is a way to increase revenue (for shows with low sales). That or maybe. given they weren't gonna sell a lot anyway, might as well keep the commercial short to save costs.
