K v3 adds 611 BDs, total 4,822. Got ahead of v2 without the help of DVDs, so it's probably about 5.1k with them.


Summer update:
Sword Art Online v2 adds 638 BDs, total 37,133.

Tari Tari v4 adds 518 BDs, total 7,592.


Past seasons:
SenColle v9 sells 802/1658, total 2,460.
v10 sells 711/1415, total 2,126.


OVAs, Movies, Boxsets etc:
Berserk second movie adds 645 BDs, total 6,845.

Oh wow, I am so pleased with those Chuunibyou numbers. I expected a bit less. And the effects of GirlPan's insufficient stock mean its number should end up much higher.
Got the full list on Friday, sooner than I thought it was scheduled for, so that's good.


Fall update:
Chuunibyou v1 sells 12573/1885, total 14,458. Beats Stalker by a good bit, and is temporarily the top selling show of Fall, at least until GirlPan restocks. Very impressive! 14.5k first week, damn. Absolutely elated at this. Shouldn't be hard to average 10k now, but I'm going to wait for extra weeks or Vol. 2 before I add anything from this week to the 10k list.

GirlPan v1 sells 13,550 BDs, DVDs do not rank. Didn't expect DVD to rank anyway. Stalker overestimated, but that's totally expected seeing as how Amazon kept taking orders, but anything from the last two weeks won't ship this week.

TLR Darkness v1 sells 8286/1928, total 10,214. So this didn't end up running all that close to Chuunibyou after all, which means Chuunibyou had the stronger storefront sales. HMV power?

Psycho-Pass v1 sells 4476/1183, total 5,659.

Jormungand PO v1 sells 2,392 BDs, DVDs do not rank.

Summer update:
Horizon II v4 sells 15,684. Big drop, but the exact same thing happened in v4 of season one so it's still probably on track to do about the same.

Yuru Yuri♪♪ v4 sells 5,141 BDs. Hopefully we get DVDs, I'd hate to miss out on those now, after four volumes. A drop after the three event ticket volumes finished was expected, and this isn't too bad a drop. Previous volume was 5,923 BD first week.

Jintai v4 sells 3,847 BDs, DVDs do not rank. I wish this would have kept above 4k BDs wk1, but it would look a bit better if DVDs still ranked. Still, even with monthly, this volume will only be a little over 4k.

Total Eclipse v4 sells 3,412 BDs, DVDs do not rank.

Hakuouki v4 sells 2,428 DVDs, BDs do nto rank.

Lagrange S2 v4 sells 1,571 BDs, DVDs do not rank.


Past seasons:
KuroBas v6 sells 7919/8805, total 16,724.

Eureka AO v7 sells 2,741 BDs, DVDs do not rank. Small drop after dong 3.1k BDs wk1 three volumes in a row.

Ah man, Hyouka's DVD isn't going to rank, is it? I know it won't mean sales actually dropped but if Oricon doesn't list it, we won't keep seeing that nice, consistent 9,xxx (or 10,xxx) every volume. I suppose it could still rank though. And we might get a DVD >100 list, though those are rare now.

We're supposed to get a DVD Top 500 and BD Top 200 later, but last year it came out January 27th so there's another month to wait, assuming anyone can get their hands on it at all this year. For the record, last year the thresholds were 9,989 for DVD 500 and a little under 8,340 for BD 200. I expect BD to be higher this year.

[+###] means this is an addition beyond the last regular weekly monthly ranking, so most but not all of the numbers you see are fully or partly known from monthly, half-yearly, or preliminary yearly lists. Also, I only added a number for titles I track, i.e. TV series and late night anime movies.

Covers weeks starting 2011-12-12 through 2012-12-03 inclusive. This means all the Fall '12 series with the potential to sell enough will get their complete runs counted with the 2013 list.
