I figured at least he'd be reprising. I look forward to finding out what he does for this new version of Lupin.

Not surprising. I was actually a fan of the dub for the FUNimation Lupin III movies and specials so this news gets a thumbs up from me. I'm expecting Chris Sabat and Mike McFarland to be on board as well to reprise their roles. I just wonder what will happen with Fujiko and Zenigata, their FUNi actors have been off the radar for a while. Then there's also Oscar.

Well that's all exactly as expected. Sonny confirmed he was Lupin, Michelle voicing at FUNimation and not being in Last Exile basically confirmed she was Fujiko, that tweet and some hints I had already seen Richard drop basically confirmed he was Zenigata, and with FUNimation's voice actors for the other two leads still very active, and Sabat basically confirmed as the director from Michelle's news, they were basically confirmed to keep their roles. Basically.

So while that's all well and good, this is another case in which I really wish FUNimation gave us the cast list beyond the leads, since we basically already knew all of that. Good to have a trailer, though. We only get to hear Michelle, but of course it's all about her anyway, and her take on this version of the character sounds very good. It's hard to go from Sawashiro to anyone, but she's definitely got the right approach down. I'm definitely very curious to hear how the others approach the new versions of their own characters, especially Sonny. And of course hearing Richard as Zenigata should be interesting. Now let's see if he can voice Lupin next...
